Acceptance of terms

Please read this Agreement carefully before accessing or using the web site. By accessing or using any part of the web site, you agree to become bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement.

Modification of terms

Askables reserves the right to modify, add or remove any or all parts of these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Although most changes are likely to be minor, Askables encourages members to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.

Description of service

Askables aims to be the best resource available for people seeking knowledge, answers and support. We have hand picked the best and friendliest authors, bloggers and experts across the globe. We like to think of them as knowledge Superheroes, there to save the day.

Account registration

When you join Askables you will be required to give an email address. An email will be sent to the email address given in order to verify that address. By registering to Askables you agree to: (a) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself and (b) maintain and promptly update your profile to keep it true, accurate, current and complete. If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or if Askables has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is inaccurate, Askables has the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Service (or any portion thereof).

Member account, password and security

Joining Askables requires you to select a username and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and account and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or account. If you believe there to a be breach of your account security, you are advised to notify Askables immediately.

Contributing to Askables knowledge base

Articles posted on Askables should be focused on the sharing of knowledge. We believe that profanity, adult content, hate based, recreational drug focused, joke topics, societal instructions, and vanity pages are inappropriate for Askables. Topics that are deemed by the community to be inappropriate will be removed.

Askables exists to share knowledge and help people, not for product promotion. While it may be appropriate for some articles to discuss products, writers should refrain from creating articles to purely promote one specific business without providing useful insights to our readers. While you are welcome to post an external hyperlink, the Askables community reserves the right to delete hyperlinks or entire articles that over step the bounds on self-advertising.

By posting articles on Askables you are entirely responsible for that content. This includes images. Askables advises it’s contributors to be responsible and avoid misrepresenting yourself or giving advice in a way that might cause someone harm.

By making content available, you represent and warrant that:

1. use of the content will not infringe the proprietary rights, including but not limited to the copyright, patent, trademark or trade secret rights, of any third party;
2. the content does not contain or install any viruses, worms, malware, Trojan horses or other harmful or destructive content;
3. the content is not spam, and does not contain unethical or unwanted commercial content designed to drive traffic to third party sites or boost the search engine rankings of third party sites, or to further unlawful acts (such as phishing) or mislead recipients as to the source of the material (such as spoofing);
4. the content is not obscene, libelous or defamatory, hateful or racially or ethnically objectionable, and does not violate the privacy or publicity rights of any third party; and information posted about a product or service is not false or misleading.

Ownership of rights

Askables does not claim ownership of the articles you submit and you will be credited for all your submissions.

By submitting articles on Askables, you grant Askables a world-wide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to modify, adapt and publish the content solely for the purpose of displaying, distributing and promoting your blog. If you delete content from an article, Askables will use reasonable efforts to remove it from the Website, but you acknowledge that caching or references to the content may not be made immediately unavailable.

Without limiting any of those representations or warranties, Askables has the right (though not the obligation) to, refuse or remove any content that, in Askables reasonable opinion, violates policy or is in any way harmful or objectionable to Askables and the community.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Askables, its contractors, and its licensers, and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from and against any and all claims and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, arising out of your use of Askables including but not limited to out of your violation this Agreement.

Termination

You agree that Askables may, under certain circumstances and without prior notice, immediately terminate your Askables account, any associated email address, and access to the Service.

Cause for such termination shall include, but not be limited to, (a) breaches or violations of the terms or other incorporated agreements or guidelines, (b) requests by law enforcement or other government agencies, (c) a request by you (self-initiated account deletions), (d) discontinuance or material modification to the Service (or any part thereof), (e) unexpected technical or security issues or problems, (f) extended periods of inactivity, (g) engagement by you in fraudulent or illegal activities, and/or (h) nonpayment of any fees owed by you in connection with the Services. Further, you agree that all terminations for cause shall be made in Askables sole discretion and that Askables shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination of your account, any associated email address, or access to the Service.
