My shitzu constantly has an infection in her left eye. The vet said she might have 'Atrophy'....does anyone know what treatment I should use and how I can make her more comfortable?

Did they say Entropin? That's when the eyelid turns inward causing the lashes to irritate the eye surface & could effect your dog's eyesight in years to come. I would first consult with another vet or even a specialist. Your vet should have talked to you about treatment & made sure you had a good understanding of the diagnosis.

Atrophy is where the eyelashes turn in toward the eye causing extreme irritation. The only relief is a simple surgery to remove the eyelash area. Then there is no more infection.
