I am in college currently and thought it an appropriate question to ask how to make the most of money while here? Is there a good way to make money and wisely use it throughout my years here?

The answer to your questions comes down to simple variables. One, what are you good at? And two, you must budget. The hardest for a college student to determine is what are they good at, what do they enjoy doing, and what type of job can they have and still maintain their presence and focus as it applies to school. Restaurants jobs generally provide for flexible hours, immediate pay, and are a dime a dozen to come by. But be careful, restaurants are also very addictive (if the money is good, of course) and I have seen many college students drop out just to wait tables. Retail stores can also be beneficial in that they also can provide college students with flexible hours, the pay is somewhat decent, and you can get discounts on things that you are already going to need to purchase.
Regardless of what job you chose, you must budget your money carefully. Careless spending will lead to stress, worry, and not having enough income to get by until the next pay check. Try to sock some of your earning away into savings, determine what your fixed expenses are, and budget out a reasonable amount of "play money". All of these are skills that will better prepare you for the future.

It may depend on your schedule. I was in a tough mechanical engineering program and had very little time for a job during college. I rarely got food anywhere but the dining hall, which was already paid for in my tuition, because I didn't have much money. To help with expenses, I got jobs on campus that had flexible hours or short time commitments. I would work a few hours at a time in the dishroom, a couple of days a week. I ran one hour tutoring sessions for physics and engineering classes. The most flexible job was grading papers for professors, since I could work any time of day that I wanted as long as I returned the papers in a reasonable amount of time.

Don't spend it on foolish things like a new plasma tv or other unnecessary items.
Try to apply for finacial aid. Even if it's only a few thousand dollars, it's still a few thousand dollars that you dont have to pay in tuition !
Having a job also helps. If you are going to college for three-quarter time or half time, then it will give you at least a couple months to work a part-time job and earn a few bucks doing odd jobs, although you might rather be out sunbathing by a pool during your summer break. Also, a good idea is to set aside a budget. Put money in seperate envelopes for like phone bill, textbooks, food, enetertainment, etc. It is a good idea, if you can, to try to save up several months worth of allowance in advance.
Another good option is, if your college offers various jobs throughout the campus. Working to save money is good, however dont get an over-load. Save time for homework !
I'm getting ready to go to college myself, and I know how hard it is to save AND try to pay for college at the same time. Anyways, hope this helps. Wishing you luck !

When I was in college, I used to work in a local resturant and as a home teacher. I didn't make me much money, but it is enough to cover my expenses in college. Perhaps your job opportunities are somewhat decided by where you locate, if you live in large cities, there are much more categories to choose. pay attention to posters and the information provided by your college, meanwhile you have to watch out for the liers and cheaters.
