Which are good online Indian saree stores?
asked 1 year ago
I often buy sarees online. The site I buy from is roopasarees.com They really have a
huge stock - Sarees of all variety and the regular stuff of
embroidery and partywear sareez. The best thing is that, their designs are
unique.
I have always received the shipment within 10 days and they have always sent me
the exact piece I had chosen.
You would also get salwar kameezes and sleepwears
too. But, I've never bought these from the site. You can try out roopasarees.com I was satisfied.
Hope this helps.

The magnificence of the Indian traditional saree is untouched and even now it has a special place in the hearts of Indian women. It is draped across the body so that there are neat pleats at the waist and the shoulders of the wearer. The outfit flatters women of all shapes and sizes and looks good on everyone. This is a major reason for the continued demand for sarees.
The Designer Indian saris is worn with a matching blouse. The pallu, which is the end of the saree draped across the shoulders, is heavily decorated to distinguish it from the other parts of the saree indian sarees online. The pallu can be worn in many styles. Some of the various styles include pleated, pinned, loose, back draped and front draped styles. The other end of the saree is tucked into a petticoat.
Saree styles and designs
Sarees are of various types and styles. Each region of the country has its own particular style of saree and also a different way of draping it. Every region is famous for some form of sari. Here are some of the most famous ones:
Kanjeevarams: The kanjeevaram is a famous silk of the south. It is very shiny and heavy silk that has a broad border in contrasting colors. The border usually has designs of temples, palaces and other native scenes worked onto them. Kanjeevaram silk is worn by brides in southern India.
Benarasi Sarees: Benarasi saree is a very popular saree in northern India. It is hand woven and is made in benaras. The benarasi was very popular among the Mughal queens who loved opulence in their dressing styles. Fine silk is used to make benarasi sarees which is then embroidered with gold or silver threads. Benarasi sarees have a very eye catching and colorful appearance because of which they are admired.
There are many other sarees which are famous as well, such as Bandhani/Bandhej saris from Rajasthan and Gujarat, cotton Gadhwal saris with silk borders and pallu from Andhra Pradesh, and Paithani saris with peacock design from Maharastra. Each has its own charm and elegance which is reflected in the saree pattern.
Bridal Sarees can be bought online as well. There are special sites dedicated just to selling specialty sarees which can be worn on a variety of occasions. Online stores have a huge variety of saree designs, patterns and colors. They stock sarees for all occasions and deliver the goods right at your doorstep. So, next time you want to buy a saree, there is no need for you to run from store to store. Go online, take your pick and place the order.
