I am not sure if this is it or not. But if you noticed on SitterCity.com they have certain restrictions on who they are hiring. They want someone who has college education, documented work experience and references I think.

Other than that it might just be some kind of computer glitch. It is hard to see what is going on and not to see the screen. I would ask for help from a work center or someone who is nearby you. Sometimes it just needs something else clicked or filled out. It shouldn't be not letting it thru just because of a cover letter.

If you cannot type anything, or if it won't process your submission, it may be a computer error. Many websites are optimized to work in Internet Explorer since it is one of the most common browsers. If you are using Google Chrome, Firefox, or another browser, try in Internet Explorer. Also look to see if your browser is blocking a popup or otherwise denying you access to the page.

If it does process your submission but you get error messages from SitterCity (not from your browser) then it is probably some kind of error in what you are submitting. Make sure you have filled all required fields. Make sure you are applying for a job you are qualified for. Make sure you have not writtien too little or too much in your cover letter - check to see if there are minimum or maximum letter lenghts. Often, when you try to submit information on websites and you leave a required field blank, the field name will turn red or have a note by it (Example: First Name is required but you left it blank, so "First Name" turns red). Look for something similar when you submit.

If none of these things work for you, try contacting SitterCity customer support.
