I don't like fruit...in fact I don't like anything sweet tasting. I try to eat a bit but I really have to be in the mood and it doesn't happen very often. Aside from that I eat loads of fresh veg and salad so I am sure I get 5-a-day....but if I don't eat fruit will I miss out on vital vitamins and minerals? Does anyone know?

As a nutrition researcher and writer, I believe that you certainly can be well-nourished and healthy without fruit in your diet. According to the Weston A. Price philosophy of nutrition, our bodies especially need quality animal fats and protein to thrive. Even if these elements are eaten in small amounts, they are critical for the absorption of nutritional content found in grains and vegetables.
If you base your diet around pastured animal products (grass fed chicken, raw milk, ocean-caught fish etc) and properly prepared grians and vegetables (soaking and fermenting maximizes nutritional content and digestability) your overall nutrition will be well rounded and superior to the majority of modern diets.

Fruit provides fibre and vitamin C which are also found in vegetables, so keep up with your good intake of fresh veg & you should be fine. Cooking loses vitamins so eat raw veg if possible. Also keep in mind, not all fruits are sweet so experiment - have you tried grapefruit which is not sweet at all? Or perhaps a vege juice with a fruit addition? E.G. Carrot, celery & apple. Ultra good for you!
