What would be the best nutrition to have between boxing fights?

In a kick boxing tournament, up to 3 x 3 min rounds and possibly fighting as many as 10 times in one day. Any ideas on fast carbs, drinks, and meals for the night before. Thanks.

Yes i have trouble with that too! Everyone is different when it comes to your food and how it effects your performace in the ring so experiment. I eat a lot of pasta the week up to my fights and then the day of my fights I will only eat carb bars! They're great, they're light, so they dont make you feel heavy. You can get them at most grocery stores - the ones I eat are called CLIF BARS. P.S. Only drink sports drinks the day of your fights because you want your body to have all the right hydration and water doesnt cut it. Try it - I bet you feel better in the later rounds.

I would think that it would be similar to a diet that is needed when you workout intensively. You need protein for building muscle and carbohydrates for energy. Even if you are between bouts, you will be working out. My father used to eat a large steak and  a half dozen eggs a few hours before a fight. He never lost a fight.

The best nutrition to have in between boxing fights should include all the nutrients needed by the body. You should increase your carbohydrate consumption because you loose a large amount of calories as you do your workout.
