I have that problem all the time. I solve it by opening a new tab on my browser and opening up askables and going to "My Stuff" - it usually shows up there as a Draft. I then open it and preview it again and then publish it. It's a bit of a pain but it works.

I haven't had that problem. Hopefully you saved the article. You can either resubmit it or just hit your f5 button and see if that helps.
