When a bird crashes into a window several things can happen. First it may have simply been stunned. Give the bird time to see if it can recuperate on its own. Sadly, if the bird has a broken neck or broken wing, there is little that can be done. Some areas have wildlife rehabilitation units, but rarely will take in common species.

I heard that you have to massage the heart of the bird, otherwise it will suffer a heart attack due to the shock.
