Actually it depends on your choice but basically we use the word 'cute' and 'adorable' for small and clean objects or animals. There are many dogs are small in their sizes too. These both  animals are our pet animals worldwide. In the developed countries, they have every facilities that needed for a very comfortable life to live. But in undeveloped countries the situation is  worse. Comparing both of the scenarios,a cat is much easier to keep clean and fit,it is also easy to maintain with very little room and feeding and effort out there in undeveloped countries. Worldwide, for these reasons, cat is considered as  the most cute and adorable pet.
