I regularly get my hair coloured, although not bleached, will this be damaging to my hair in the longterm?

Regular use of chemical hair dyes is not ideal - the combination of peroxide and ammonia alters the molecular structure of hair and will damage it, often resulting in dry brittle locks. Additionally it may cause an allergic reaction for some people. There are now some natural hair colour products on the market but they tend to be not so effective. If you do opt to colour your hair, I would suggest getting it done professionally - to avoid any nasty colour outcomes as well as ensuring some quality of the product itself. And pay a little extra for a shampoo designed especially to look after chemically treated hair.
