If you're writing Askables articles, you want to maximise your earning potential. Read on for a series of success tips that will increase your chances of getting your articles read and earning for you!
When people surf websites, they've got the equivalent of online ADD (attention deficit disorder). This means they have very little patience for slow loading pages and a short attention span if something doesn't GRAB their attention.
How do you make your Askables articles grab people's attention so that they'll:
-STOP and read
-Click a link
-Bookmark your article to share with others
Here are some article writing and formatting tips to make your page stand out:
1. A great picture. Adding a pic to the article is proven as a way to make people notice. Go to stock photo sites, invest in buying a premium photo site membership, or grab your camera and take some great snapshots that relate to your article
2. A STRONG title. Your headline is the first thing people see so grab their attention with it. Think like a newspaper columnist!
3. Short paragraphs. A lot of white space makes your article easier on the eyes. If people see one long and continuous block of text, they may leave before they read because reading your article looks too much like work. 3-5 sentences is a good size for a paragraph.
4. Headings and bullets. Bold headings and bullet points also help break up the text and make the article scannable. Because web surfers want information fast this helps them get an overview of the content of the article which can make them want to read.
5. Reel them in during the first paragraph. You've got to make your first paragraph good so that people will want to continue.
