Gossip Girl’ - is a popular American novel series, based on the same called novel written by Cecily von Ziegesar.

The first book was published in April, 2002 and the final eleventh book was released in May, 2007.

Josh Schwartz, the creator of ‘The Orange County’, is an executive producer and a writer of ‘Gossip Girl’, along with Stephanie Savage, Mark Piznarski (the director) and the others.

It first was aired on September 19, 2007 Starring Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, Taylor Momsen, Penn Badgley who have taken the lead roles.

The story is about a fabulous life of the students attending a private elite scool in New York’s Upper East Side. It is all about them and their affairs, crazy love, fancy parties and complicated relations.

Blair Waldorf is a main character and one of these preppy girls who has a couple of close girlfriends who follow her and make her popularity grow. She seems to lead a perfect life of a typical resident of Manhattan with her amazing boyfriend Nate Archibald when suddenly shocking news of the arrival of her ex-best friend Serena van der Woodsen has spread across  Manhattan. Serena is a beautiful ‘it-girl’ who has had a petty intrigue with Nate, thus her return isn’t crowned with succes.

The source of that gossip as of all the other rumors is a blog of an unknown  gossip girl who keeps on pursuing the characters through the whole movie.

Since then the life of every character turns upside down. Another change that occurs in the society is an apearence of the new students from Brooklyn. Dan and Jenny are a brother and a sister, although they don’t belong to a high social class, they still attend that prestigious school and so getting involved in this overwhelming whirl of events.

Will the siblings be able to resist to the temptation of big money? Will the rich ones manage to cope with their problems?  Upper East Side or Brooklyn...? No matter where you live, the matter who you are.

The novel is really addicted! It’s absolutely worth watching. You may consider it as a guide to the world of fashion. The beautiful faces, cool rides and posh places.... It’s just a pleasure to watch, it’s like to experience all the amenities and troubles of adolescence. Once you try it, you’ll certainly enjoy it. Either you like it or not, you’ll never remain indifferent.
