Nobody like dirty environment for sure, but not much of us likes the idea of cleaning. Sometimes we just feel like shoving everything under the carpet, just so we don’t have to see it in front of our eyes. Especially if our times seems to be limited and not enough to requires carrying out the whole cleaning process. Disliking the cleaning activity is also not helping to the matter.
If you dislike cleaning activity, try to tackle the issue since the first time you might need to encounter the problem. Like when you plan to have a big and elaborate dinner. Think of what dishes you want to cook, what kind of pots you need for cooking, the plates you want to use etc. The less kitchen ware you used means less cleaning to do. And make sure you do the cleaning as you go cooking. This way, when you finish with the cooking, the kitchen is clean already and you only have to put up with the mess of the after dinner.
Putting every cleaning kit and essentials we have into one place also helps. When I was in kindergarten, my mother put the stuff I might need for the artwork class in a small box. Aside from saving time and making it easier for me to find any of the tools, it also helps me in not losing any of them.
Me myself found it easy to get the urge to clean a room when I re-arranging its furniture. By shifting furniture from one place to another, what’s underneath it will be exposed. Most of the time, it is something unpleasant. So of course we will get the mood of cleaning because we do not want our room to look dirty.
Involving the whole residents of your households for the cleaning can also works wonder. It can create a sense of family togetherness when you make a special date for your plan to thoroughly clean the house.
One of the best tips that I get is that too much of something is never good. I am talking about soap. Us lazy cleaners thought that the more soap we use the better. But apparently that is not true. Why, because the more soap we use, the harder it gets for us to fully rinse the residue away. If the residue is not fully rinsed away, it will create a worn look and in case of electronic appliances like washing machine and dishwasher, potential damage.
If you worry you would not have the time to clean then steal the time. ‘Waiting time’ is the best place to steal time. For example, use the waiting time from T.V. advertisement to wash the dishes or sweep the floor.
You don’t really have to have a dedicated time for cleaning, just maximized the time that you have in your hands because the real key of cleaning is to “Never let it sit”. Trust me, once we let it sit, we will have no time to sit!
