How to cure a sore throat

It's almost that time of year again when my family and I will be sporting colds and sore throats. I don't usually get a sore throat, but when I do, I feel so miserable. Winter is when I'm most vulnerable to getting a sore throat. Through out the years, I've made it my mission to discover cures/remedies that might work. I've been sucessful in finding some that work like a charm in making my throat feel slighty better. Here are some of the ones I've used.

I've made Thyme tea because Thyme is known for its antiseptic properties that lies withing its leaves. All you need to do is crush 5 to 6 leaves of dried Thyme, put it into a tea cup and pour water that's almost to the boiling point. Once you let it steep for five minutes or so, you must take out all the leaves before you drink or gargle it.

Another remedy is to take one lemon and use all of its juice with one cup of warm water. You can drink it if you want to, but I've always gargled it for about 3 times a day for a whole minute.

There's also the Cayenne pepper method. There are plenty of ways people use this method, I have always used it with water since this method is simple. Add 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to a cup of hot boilng water. Stir it well and be sure to sip it slowly to get the full effect.

Lastly, the most known remedy method, salt and water. I must say, I use this one just about all the time because I always have the ingredients in my house. First, add a teaspoon of salt to an 8 ounce glass of warm water. Mix the two together till the salt is incorporated completely then gargle the whole glass full.

Drinking organic white tea is my go-to method when a sore throat is coming on. It can actually kill strep and staph infections, tastes great, and even contains natural cavity fighting ingredients.

Believe it or not

spitting out the saliva in your mouth from the back of your throat as constant as possible and eating salty foods help coat the throat as if you were gargling with salt even though that works just as well with warm water..but eating is just more fun
