All or most of us have friends. But have you wondered if many of them are real friends or fake? You wouldn't ever find out if you two are not put into pressure.
In order to see the true colors of a friend, that friend should be put under pressure unintentionally, until he or she cracks up and see if he or she's still your friend.
One source of pressure is during project makings. Sure you have been friends since first year but now that you have one of the most difficult projects in your hands, I bet you still will.
Dislikeable traits will begin to surface such as irresponsible behavior relating to projects where it would appear that you are the only one working hard. These so called friends will tend to act like parasites and exploit your status as being friends so that they will do lesser work because you're 'there' for them. This relationship becomes unhealthy.
But is it true that they are just using you, assuming in this scenario? Let us not forget that every person is unique and each has its own shortcomings and good traits.
Most friendships start because of shared or common interests. But did you know that stronger bonds are made in times of distress?
The mentioned scenario can be considered one such distressful situations. That is the time that you will come to decide if you really accept a person for who they are, even if they are lazy, if they are responsible, but because that is just how they are, that you would be willing to accept them still.
This is what I've realized since the scenario was based on my own experience. I've decided that I should accept a person without any conditions because I've decided to be a friend. And being a friend means being unconditional.
There is a saying that goes: "For a friendship to flourish, one must make a sacrifice"
